Website Upgrade
But as time went on, I found myself wanting something leaner and more tailored to my own needs. WordPress, while powerful, started to feel bloated for a site that I wanted to keep minimal, fast, and fully under my control.
In 2024, I began exploring modern web development and got hands-on with the Next.js framework. As I learned more about its flexibility and performance benefits, I realized it was the perfect opportunity to rebuild my website from the ground up — this time with a focus on speed, simplicity, and customizability.
- Automatically showcasing the latest posts right on the homepage
- Clean and intuitive pagination to navigate through content
- A well-organized tag system for easier discovery
- Search functionality to quickly find posts by keywords or tags
After months of development, I finally reached a major milestone: launching the new version of my website and preparing to retire the old platform. It was a rewarding moment — the result of countless hours of learning, building, and refining.
For the release, I decided to deploy the site using Vercel, the platform created by the same team behind the Next.js framework. It felt like a natural fit — seamless integration, performance-focused hosting, and a developer experience that made the deployment process incredibly smooth.
